Nocturnal is a dance performance for two dancers in two separate windows of an old house with a video projection on the facade of the house. Audiences can watch it form with in their cars at the parking lot. Dancer’s live actions and projection of the moon cycles on the faced of the house makes a connection between the obvious and sublime.
The celestial quality of the moon and moon light is the  inspiration behind the light design on the dancers with in the windows.

I want to generate a sense of reconnecting and thinking about the elements of nature in playful ways, regenerating the sense of that we are nature, we are part of this nature, how could we co -exists with-in, with-out harming and wasting resources.

About Adhana and Svenning
In recent years, the choreographer and dancer duo Svenning and Adhana have made a name for themselves with a number of similar projects, which are performed outside the usual stage space and where the place itself becomes an integral part of the experience. Nocturnal is an outdoor performance. It was created to be able to be carried out even under strict corona measures. You can follow the play from a safe distance in front of the house or from your car in the parking lot outside.

Nora Svenning is trained in classical ballet at the Oslo National Academy of The Arts and the Norwegian Opera's Ballett School. She has previously been a member of the dance companies FRIKAR and Panta Rei Danseteater, and now also works as a choreographer and dance educator.

Sudesh Adhana is trained in the traditional Indian styles chhau and kathakali, as well as contemporary dance at the Oslo Academy of the Arts. He runs his own dance company Xproarts, and works as a dancer and choreographer both in Norway and abroad, especially India. Here, among other things, he has won the major choreographer award in what is India's answer to the Oscars, for his choreography work in a Bollywood film. Adhana is very keen to reach out with dance to a wide audience and make it available also to those who have never seen contemporary dance before.
