About PRODA

PRODA is a foundation with the objective to continuous offer free daily exercise, dance technique and professional development for professional dance artists, regardless of organisational affiliation.

Exercise and dissemination of dance requires continuous self-training under the guidance of educators. PRODA organises training classes in all dance expression, and will profit anyone working with dance. Dance artists work as dancers, choreographers and educators. PRODA is an important part of the infrastructure in the field of dance and also serves as resource centres and meeting places around the country.

PRODA is financed with fixed subsidy and varying operating/cultural grants from municipalities and counties. Users at PRODA must have 3 years professional training in dance and/or several years of professional work. PRODA have continuous operations in many counties. PRODA Oslo organises daily morning classes throughout the year. It is believed that about 75% of dance artists live and work in the capital. Here also PRODA headquartered. In the regions arranged PRODA as weekly training classes and/or courses/seminars on weekends and holidays. PRODAS activity is handled by the board, general manager and regional dance institutions.
