Inside Out – a writing and conversation room

The project Inside Out invites everyone involved in DanseFestival Barents - performing artists, audiences, technicians, volunteers and other contributors, to write based on performances during the festival.
On Thursday 7 November and Friday 8 November, there is an open writing room at Hammerfest Library from 12.00-15.00. In the writing room you can sit and write, get feedback on what you write, read what others have written and discuss performances. Come!
Hild Borchgrevink has an MFA in art and public spaces from the Oslo Academy of the Arts and is educated in creative writing from the Academy of Writing in Hordaland. In addition to her own artistic practice, she works as an editor and writer and holds writing courses and discourse projects in music and dance. From 2012-2017 she was editor of Scenekunst.no.
Venke Marie Sortland is a dance artist and writer. She has worked as a performer for a large number of Norwegian and international choreographers and is one of the initiators of the group Landing, which develops place- and target group-specific dance art and reflection around it. She is a graduate of the School of Contemporary Dance and has an MA in pedagogy from the University of Oslo.
The project is a collaboration between Hild Borchgrevink, Venke Sortland and DanseFestival Barents.
