Out of Urgency is four different performances in four different countries which are interconnected by a common virtual thread. A here & now experience with a digital home. Audiences in four countries share an artistic experience, near and far. The theme revolves around local places and their inhabitants and how they are affected and changed by global trends; how Covid19 challenges, changes and creates new exciting movements, Movement out of Urgency. We meet and witness the shared experiences of dance artists in Russia, Norway, Finland and Sweden.

Out of Urgency create a structure of complex choreography of camera, bodies and screens that binds together four simultaneous performances. All four pieces will be site-responsive, exploring different performance contexts. The audience varies in size depending on the venue (and the government guidelines for legal gatherings at the time). The live performances are streamed over borders and are displayed simultaneously, coming together to create a whole unit. The performance is interactive with all places and dancers and the audiences take part in one and the same work from different perspectives.

Maya Mi Samuelsen is inspired by her home located at Karlsøya in Northern Norway.
