Animulius is an innovative project that combines parkour and dance, transforming public spaces into living artworks in creative and unexpected ways through performers’ bodies, imaginative costumes, and scenography. The costumes evoke associations with animal-like figures, making it easier for children to relate to – or imagine – the abstract. Through acrobatics, movement, and costume, a magical world is created where the impossible becomes possible, and the possible becomes Animulius!

The show allows parkour performers and dancers to play with architecture and physical expression, inspired by both animalistic and abstract movement. Costumes and scenography challenge the imagination and invite the audience – especially children – to see the city with new eyes. Here, art and play merge, and every movement opens a door to a new reality.

Through spontaneous encounters between movement and space, Animulius becomes a performance where every corner and every motion tells a story. The aim is to spark curiosity in a broad audience and inspire children and families to think creatively, dream big, and view the world from new perspectives.

Antero Hein is an Oslo-based artist with a dance education from the Oslo National Academy of the Arts. He works across disciplines with choreography, dance, film/photography, and parkour. Hein has collaborated with both national and international choreographers for many years and also creates his own productions. His performance uventa was shown at Dansens Hus for the second time in March this year.
