SLOW DRIFT

Karen N. Barbour, Waikato Contemporary Dance Projects Trust

Saturday 11 Nov from 6 p.m., Foyer AKS

Slow Drift (international premiere) is a digital dance film in which  dancer and place respond and meld together.

Slow Drift represents an embodied investigation of relationship to a unique place. Filmed during improvisational dance in the sandstone area of Snow Canyon, Utah, United States of America, this work is conversation, both ecological and intimate, between dancer and place. Based in New Zealand, dancer researcher Karen Barbour from Waikato Contemporary Dance Projects Trust is an international collaborator with Stellaris DansTeater.
